MuseumLab is the latest addition to Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, a place where youth and teens can have cutting-edge experiences in art, tech and making perfect for their inquiring minds, increasing skills and independent inclinations. Featuring a three-story climbing sculpture called Gymlacium hand woven from hemp rope. See MuseumLab.
It’s also a place where creative adults can explore ideas, meet peers, socialize and attend educator trainings.
MuseumLab is located right next door to the Children’s Museum in the former Carnegie Library of Allegheny. We renovated the building to reveal much of its original 1890 archways, columns and mosaic floors, to create a “beautiful ruin” that honors the past while welcoming the future.
