policies

Admission

MuseumLab will grant free admission to any therapeutic staff support, counselor, doctor, therapist or nurse that accompanies a visitor as part of their professional responsibilities. Documentation must be provided at the Admissions Desk at the time of the visit that verifies that the individual is certified to perform the work and is in the active engagement of the work during the visit. Employee badge or valid photo identification is required.

Service Animals

Registered service dogs and miniature horses are welcome in MuseumLab and Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. Animals such as “comfort animals” or “therapy animals” are not service animals as defined by the ADA and are therefore not allowed into the Museum. The Museum occasionally offers programs that includes these types of animals — check the Calendar of Events for details.
