MlabPASS provides students in grades 6 – 8 in Pittsburgh a year of visits and special events at MuseumLab’s state-of-the-art facilities for cutting-edge experiences in art, making and tech.
MuseumLab educators and mentors, many who are working artists and performers, offer an enriching, creative and safe place for your child to explore.

Beginning on June 7, MuseumLab will operate on a revised schedule and ticketing structure. It will be open on Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 am – 4:15 pm for timed admission to ages 9+ only.
Spots can be reserved at 10:30 am, Noon, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm and each session will feature a hands-on workshop and access to Gymlacium, our three-story interactive sculpture for climbing and exploring.
Timed admission is FREE for MLabPASS holders! Just reserve your spot in person at the Children’s Museum admissions desk. Space is limited.
For 6th-8th graders (or equivalent ages) only
We offer several summer dates for a parent-free workshop on a maker subject and pizza party at MuseumLab.
Each Pizza+ Evening is 4:00 – 7:00 pm:
mlabPASS holders – FREE
All other guests – $10
Includes:
In-Depth Workshops focusing on one art or making subject such as fiber arts, metalworking or photography
Drop-in Open Studio Time when you can explore your own hands-on creative experiences in a relaxed setting
Quarterly Youth Nights, festive art and making events for a large number of youth are offered four times a year.
