If you’re a young artist in grades K-12 who has worked with metals, we invite you to submit your work to be featured in our annual Youth Metal Arts Show at MuseumLab opening Sunday, November 23!

Rules
- Artists must be in grades K-12 during the 2024/2025 school year, and be the primary creator of the work being submitted
- All work must feature metal as a material or process of creating the art
- Accepted works must be picked up at MuseumLab on Pittsburgh’s North Side after the show. Artwork will not be returned by mail

All submissions must be made through our online form.
You must include at least one (1) and no more than three (3) images of each artwork being submitted.
Each artist may submit up to three (3) pieces for consideration. Please complete an application form for each piece submitted.

How Submissions are Selected
A jury of artists and metalworkers will review all submissions and choose pieces for the 2025 Youth Metal Arts Show. Submissions will be judged anonymously, using only the submitted images, artwork title and artist age.
Acceptance will be based on:
- Interesting or skillful use of metals
- Appropriateness for display
- Size/space required
Accepted Artists
All accepted artists are invited to the Museum for Opening of the Youth Arts Metals Show, November 23, 2025.
Artists also receive a “swag bag” of metalworking tools or materials as a thank you for participating.
Show Awards
The jury will also award individual show honors.
Awardees will receive additional metals-related resources.

Artwork Drop Off Period:
Selected artists will be asked to drop off their artwork(s) at MuseumLab from Saturday, November 8 – Sunday, November 16, 2025.
MuseumLab is located at 6 Allegheny Square E, Pittsburgh PA, 15212.

Youth Metal Arts Show Closes:
Saturday, January 4, 2026
