after school at MuseumLab

A program for middle school youth to explore social justice through arts and making

Enrollment for 2023/2024 School Year Opens in August

about the program

After School at MuseumLab is a free program for middle school youth, focusing specifically on social justice through arts and making. We tackle current issues that affect youth, while learning from museum and community artists and activists. Together with their peers, students learn new arts processes and practice a commitment to positive change in our world. Tackle personal projects, build friendships, amplify your voice, become a youth leader at MuseumLab!

Who This Program is For:

If you’re a middle schooler in Pittsburgh who is curious about using art and making as a tool for creating change, this program is for you. No previous experience is required, but an enthusiasm for art and making is needed. Full participation is expected.

Who We Are:

MuseumLab teaching artists and staff are dedicated to providing an enriching, creative and safe place for your child to explore after school activities with materials in our Studio Lab, Tech Lab and Make Lab exhibits.
